Stevenson University
School of Design

Every year, one graduate of the Stevenson University Visual Communication Design department is chosen and hired to design a poster brochure and envelope for to mail to prospective students and to hang throughout the university campus.

  • Thought Process

    I was also presented with the option to develop a new tagline to represent the School of Design. For as long as I can remember (which is the 9th grade, when I decided I wanted to go to Stevenson), their slogan was "Design your career." Now, that's all good and well, but theirs so much more to the college experience. It's about finding yourself, finding your friends, your enemies, finding out what you love, and what you hate, and what I found to be the most fun, finding out what else you're good at. Most importantly though, is finding your passion.

  • Concept & Design

    With the idea of "finding your passion" in mind, I started thinking of different ways to express this idea, as well as presenting the variety of opportunities available. I eneded up with two variations of a word search: one already solved, perfect for display, and a second blank, interactive, and filled with opportunities to be discovered.
